Hand picked from 15 to 25-year-old dryland vines on Swartland Schist and Shale soils. Harvesting took place from middle February to end of February. 100% destemmed and naturally fermented in open top fermenters. Elevage took place in 500L French oak puncheons for 12 months.

Wonderfully perfumed, touches of violets, with fresh fruits of cherry, blackberry and cranberry. Medium-bodied on the palate with primary fruit expression beautifully balanced by fine tannin and subtle acid  giving freshness. Some earthy, spicy notes give texture and depth  to the palate and provide a savoury and satisfying finish.
